Voices From the Warsaw Ghetto
The Warsaw ghetto was destroyed in 1943 but there are abundant records of the Jewish life and creativity that flourished in the ghetto despite the horrific conditions. Poetry, diaries, and other testimonies stand as an enduring testament to the human spirit. Julian Voloj, former chairman of the European Jewish Student Union and coordinator of the Resource Center at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, will present ghetto writings, accounts and films of everyday life, along with rare documentary footage of the ghetto uprising.
